Week of 4/8/2012

Sunday

8 miles

Crossfit workout:
200m run
90 lunges
70 box jumps
50 situps
30 thrusters (50#s, dumbells)
10 burpees
200m run
~13min

Monday

2 mile warmup + 90 min run of 3min faster, 3min easier
Right foot (metatarsal-ish) starting to be more bothersome- have to start wearing new trainers all the time.

Crossfit workout: Group! (With Allyson and Jamie)
3 Rounds:
500m row (timekeeper)
KB swings (25#)
burpees
~22min

New ab workout (from Eyal)

Tuesday

No run- figured I'd give the foot a rest for today, plus a lot of work

Crossfit: (With Jamie and Jennet)
12 min AMRAP
200m run
15 jumping lunges (16#)
12 box jumps (16#)
9 overhead situps (16#)
6 burpees (16#)

1/2 burpee short of 4 full rounds

Wednesday

8 miles, started out pretty slow, a little tight, but wound up rolling through the last few miles pretty quickly and easily.

Saturday, 4/7/2012

Rough week, training-wise due to excessive lab/work/study time.  Time to stop making excuses and find the time every day to either run, crossfit, or both, no matter what.  Avoiding the snooze button for something that's not "mandatory" is tough, but it's time to get tougher.

I also apparently need to keep up with logging because I already forget what I did for most of this week so I'll record just the past few days I remember..


Thursday
AM: 4 miles + Snake hills from stadium + 2 miles
Crossfit WOD:
5 Rounds: 1 min max mountain climbers, 1 min max wall walks, 1 min max  flutter kicks

Friday
9 miles, second half quicker than first


Saturday
6 miles
Crossfit WOD:
100m sprint
90 lunges
70 box jumps
50 AMSUs
30 thrusters, 50# total, dumbells
10 burpees
100m sprint

Pretty sure this refers to people who are lacking sleep due to partying... but I'll take it.
